Putting your feet in safe hands during Covid-19

As a Podiatry practice we take the safety of you & our staff extremely seriously, following strict guidelines set by The College of Podiatry.

How we are working during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak

The Coronavirus pandemic continues to be a headache for us all. To ensure the continued safety of you & our staff, we are following guidelines set by Public Health England.

Fresh Air

To minimise any potential contamination to your day-to-day living space, when we visit we would like to work in an area that has lots of fresh air. This can be in the garden, a conservatory, a porch or even a garage.

Minimal Contact

The only part of you & your house we need to touch is your feet & the floor. Before we arrive, we would request that you have a chair in a spacious area for you to sit on (we do not need a chair as we bring our own). As the virus is transmitted by being in close proximity to one another, we have fine tuned our practices to ensure we spend as little time as possible actually in physical contact with a patient.

PPE

We will don eye/face protection, a mask, an apron & gloves before we approach you to undertake assessments or treatment. We would recommend that you wear a face mask whilst any physical treatment is being undertaken.

Sanitizing

To ensure minimal contact with your home, we will not wash our hands in your house, but will use alcohol gel before & after treatment. In addition, all equipment that we have used (leg rest, stool, bag, etc, will be thoroughly disinfected following treatment.
